When it comes to installing cabinet door handles either knobs or pulls they are always placed on the opposite side from the door hinges.

Using the horizontal rail of the door frame place your screw hole or orient the bottom end of the handle. Divide the drawer in half centre a pull in each half and it will be perfectly balanced.
